LIMASSOL, Cyprus, June 2, 2025 – The 2025 INEX Club Charity Ride concluded on May 10 in Limassol, Cyprus, with 128 cyclists coming together to raise funds and awareness for youth development in cycling. Backed by ARETI International Group and organized by INEX Club, the event underscored Cyprus’s growing commitment to empowering the next generation of athletes.
Supporting the Next Generation
Now in its third year, the Charity Ride welcomed both seasoned and amateur cyclists, offering two fully supported routes: a 200 km course for experienced riders and a 100 km route for intermediate participants. With mechanic patrols, hydration stations, and GPS tracking, the ride was designed for both safety and inclusivity.
The presence of renowned Cypriot cyclist Konstantina Georgiou added to the momentum, as she joined the ride to show solidarity with young aspiring athletes.
Providing Resources That Matter
Funds raised through the event were used to equip young members of the Cypriot national cycling team with essential gear—including bicycles, cycling wheels, helmets, shoes, socks, and 50 custom cycling kits. This effort, coordinated through the Cyprus Cycling Federation, aims to eliminate access barriers for promising athletes.
“Young athletes need more than motivation—they need access,” said INEX Club co-founder Viacheslav Kuznetsov, a former professional cyclist. “We’re focused on creating that foundation.”
A Shared Commitment to Growth
The success of the 2025 event continues a shared mission between INEX Club and ARETI International Group to invest in grassroots sports and local development. Igor Makarov, founder of ARETI and a former professional cyclist himself, has long been a driving force in promoting cycling as a tool for youth empowerment.
“The INEX Charity Ride showcases what’s possible when communities and businesses unite around a common goal,” said Makarov, who also serves on the UCI Management Committee and previously founded the Katusha cycling team.
Looking Forward
INEX Club’s work is part of a broader vision shaped by Makarov’s lifelong dedication to the sport. His leadership continues to guide initiatives that prioritize opportunity, access, and structured support for young athletes.
