ARETI International Group promotes cycling all over the world, by supporting the cycling movement in various countries. Igor Makarov is the Member of the Management Board of International Cycling Union (UCI). For many years Igor Makarov’s companies supported European cycling, contributing to its development in all of the UEC’s national federations.
In addition, Igor Makarov was the founder and the main sponsor of the Swiss-registered professional cycling team KATUSHA, which successfully performed on the World Tour from 2009 to 2019 and was one of the best teams in the world for several years in a row. The team incorporated riders of many nationalities and numerous countries around the world.
Since it was founded, Mr. Makarov was the only sponsor of Katusha Team, except for a few years when Alpecin, a German based shampoo manufacturer, had joined the project as one of Katusha’s sponsors prior to the team was purchased by Israel Cycling Academy in 2019.
